Tokyo, Together.
Serve Society is Tokyo's curated tennis サークル (circle) for Black women and allies. Two sessions a month. Eight members per session. One circle that lasts.
"The serve is just how we start. The society is why we stay."
We built Serve Society TYO because Tokyo needed a space where Black women and their allies could show up, play well, and belong fully. Skill matters less than spirit. The court is the excuse, the community is the point.
Sessions are kept small on purpose. Eight members, two times a month, always followed by somewhere good for drinks and conversation that goes places.
What is a サークル?
In Japan, a サークル (circle) is a casual community club where people gather around a shared interest, no pressure, no strict membership, just people who love what you love. Ours is built around tennis, but really it's built around belonging.
Round robin doubles, rotating partners. We ask that you can sustain a rally, the rest we figure out together on court.
Every session ends somewhere good. Drinks, golden hour, good food. The social is as intentional as the sport.
Eight members per session, by design. Curated, warm, and genuinely yours. A standing date with women who get it.
Rooted in this city, built for this city. Courts across Tokyo, always somewhere beautiful to continue the evening.
Every detail is designed so you can show up, play your best, and leave feeling like yourself, only better.
Rotating partners every 15–20 minutes. Everyone plays with everyone.
Plus the after, drinks, food, and the conversations that make it worth it.
Kept small on purpose. Intimate, curated, everyone leaves knowing each other.
All backgrounds welcome. We ask you're comfortable on court, no competitive experience needed.
A standing date with your circle, not a one-off event.
Across the city, announced ahead of each session. Always somewhere beautiful.
Sessions are announced monthly. Spots fill fast - Founding Members get first access.
Session 05 complete. Session 06 join waitlist. September filling fast · Session 07 has 2 spots · Session 08 has 1 spot · public opens Tuesday August 25.
@servesociety.tyo →A few times a year, the circle leaves the court for a day out together. Road trips, discovery, shared meals, and something new to remember.
Once or twice a year, the circle takes a real trip. Somewhere beautiful. Somewhere quiet. Somewhere worth staying overnight.
A record of every court day since the circle began. Each with its own vibe, its own weather, its own memories.
Members contribute ¥4,500 per session toward court and coordination, always followed by dinner or drinks. Founding Members lock in a special rate for life - a small, closed group we hold sacred.
Founding Membership is a one-time offer for the earliest members of the circle. It's what we hold sacred - a small, closed group who help shape what Serve Society TYO becomes.
Your name will always be part of that story.
First access to every session before spots open to general members. You never miss a court day.
Contribute ¥3,000 per session for life. Standard member contribution is ¥4,500 - yours never changes.
A private LINE group with direct access to the host. First to know about new sessions, locations, and club news.
Your input matters on locations, formats, and social spots. This is your circle as much as ours.
Founding Members are recognised as the original circle. When people ask how it started - you're part of that answer.
